Per riuscire a riconquistare la sua ex, un ragazzo indiano, analfabeta, decide di partecipare al programma “Chi vuol essere miliardario?”, del quale la ragazza è assidua spettatrice; a lui non interessa il denaro, lui vuole vincere per dimostrare qualcosa alla sua amata. Quando, dopo aver scalato tutte le domande, riesce a vincere, viene accusato di aver imbrogliato.

| Plot: The story of Jamal Malik, an 18 year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai, who is about to experience the biggest day of his life.
