Perry Mason
Veterano della prima guerra mondiale, alcolizzato, un matrimonio distrutto alle spalle. È un Perry Mason inedito e sorprendente quello raccontato nella miniserie prodotta da Robert Downey Jr e sua moglie Susan Downey. Uno dei personaggi più celebri del mondo della letteratura e del piccolo schermo rivive così, più oscuro che mai, in questo raffinato noir che il Guardian ha definito “intenso, sbalorditivo e macabro” e che per Indiewire è, addirittura, “un noir di lusso che è probabilmente la miglior serie tv mai realizzata”. Ambientata nella Los Angeles degli anni successivi alla Grande Depressione e con protagonista Matthew Rhys (The Americans), la serie racconta gli inizi della carriera di Mason, rappresentato per la prima volta nei panni di investigatore privato e non ancora di avvocato. Un bambino viene rapito e ucciso, Mason viene ingaggiato per risolvere il caso. La sua indagine avrà importanti conseguenze per tutta Los Angeles.
